Questions Asked Of and Answered By Dave
These are real questions from real users and the answers they got back from me.
Some of the question may be edited if I don't think it relates to the question.

"Do you know of an accessory that will allow me to put voice messages on the H2210?"
All Pocket PCs can record your voice through the microphone and the Notes program.

"How do I access the information stored on a Storage Card from the Pocket PC, and how can I get that information to my computer if I want to see the files on my PC?"
You can access the cards using File Explorer. The cards will be a folder in the root directory of the device and will be called Storage Card or SD Card or CF Card depending on which is inserted. Similarly, when you are using ActiveSync, if you click the Explore button, you can then explore the devices file structure and access the card that way.

"I am buying a new PDA that uses MMC and/or SD.  Which one is better? It seems that MMC is cheaper if everything else is equal?"
Doesn't really matter....I would buy SD, it will likely be cheaper and more available (except possibility in small sizes).  Usually I find SD to be just as cheaper or cheaper since it more used right now.

"I wanted to know if I could transfer files from my PDA (HP iPAQ) to a computer without having to download the whole syncing thing."
You currently can't without installing ActiveSync (unless you use a memory card and take it out of the device). That kind of feature will likely come in the future (PalmOne recently did it with their new device).

"Can I use my PDA (HP iPAQ hx4700 Pocket PC) to take class room notes with my own handwriting (electronically) and then transferring the files to my Laptop?"
Yes, the hx4700 should have a microphone on it (Pocket PCs most often do). Likely it would need to be close to you for a good recording. There are no accessories for voice recording as there is no mic input on the device. Like all files on your Pocket PC, you will be able to transfer them off onto your laptop.

"I would assume that I assume the pen to write directly on the screen like a tablet PC and would serve as a replacement to tablet PC. I'm asking this as I cannot afford to buy a Tablet PC at this point of time."
Yes, you can take notes on your Pocket PC in either your own handwriting or have the device convert it to text. In either case they can be transferred to the laptop easily. Pocket PC uses a simple stylus, where Tablet PC is much more complex. You could use the Tablet PC stylus with the PPC, but not the other way around. For handwriting recognition, there is software that comes with the device, though there is always alternative software you can buy later if you want something different.

"What would you recommend for cf  and sd card in term of brand and speed. Currently I have cf Viking and sandisk sd card, I found sandisk is very slow."
Usually the speed is constrained by the device, not by the speed of the card. If you want something faster, Sandisk makes fast cards (their Ultra line) and I believe Lexar does as well.
