Questions Asked Of and Answered By Dave
These are real questions from real users and the answers they got back from me.
Some of the question may be edited if I don't think it relates to the question.

"I was wondering how soon the new PDA Phones running the new Windows Mobile 5.0 are going to be released. I own a Dell Axim X30 PDA but I would like to have a PDA Phone, and I was waiting for the new WM 5.0 to be standard on the PDA Phones, and I was just seeing if you new the earliest date for WM 5.0 to be released on PDA phones."
We are looking at Octoberthat is based on when the upgrades are suppose to be out.
Right now there isn't further information but as upgrades get closer to release we should hear more.

"I  want to purchase a PDA. I consulted PC Mag and Consumer Reports. I don't need the best, but want plenty of memory. I do not want to outgrow it for a long time. I am least interested in email, internet, etc. Just want the basics plus enough memory to load CDs I have of reference material."
LifeDrive review is on the way and should be out Monday (I am hoping at least). If you want it for music, the LifeDrive might be your device. Check one out at a local store and see how it feels to you. Otherwise, a low-end Pocket PC would be good and then buy a big SD memory card or CompactFlash microdrive (1-4GB).

"I've been told to recharge pda daily for 15 minutes, I've also been told to recharge only when battery is low? Which is true."
Depends on the device. Most devices have lithium batteries. That means you should top them off or plug them in everyday. If you have NiMH, then you want to let it get as close to dead as possible then charge it, otherwise it will loose charge. But the lithium batteries dont have that problem and like to be charged.

"Can a Pocket PC be used as an MP3 player?"

Sure.  Microsoft includes Windows Media Player for Pocket PC with Windows Mobile devices so music and video can be played.  Also, 3rd party applications are available.
