What other operating systems are there?
Other then Windows CE (Pocket PC)
and the Palm OS, the next biggest operating system is EPOC 32
which runs on the Psion devices. You can also use Linux on
some devices, and some come with Linux, like the Sharp Zarus.
Can I migrate to Linux?
You can if your device supports it, and
you have a FlashROM. You will have to find a distubution of
Linux for your device and processor, I would recommend checking www.pocketlinux.com
or www.handhelds.org.

A Springboard is an expansion type
specific to Handspring devices, specifically the Visor series. The
Springboard modules are anything from backup and memory modules, to
modems, MP3 players, GPS systems, wireless connectivity, and
more.
