Questions relating to www.davespda.com

How do I submit a product or software for review?
The best way is to simply email dave@davespda.com.  I will get back to you with information on how to get your product to us.  If you would like software reviewed, we prefer the software to be the full version, but will review a demo copy.  Software can be review by others on the davespda.com team, though we can't always guarantee this.

 Who is this Dave guy?
David Conger is a senior at the University of Puget Sound, studying Computer Science and Business.  Prior to attending the UPS, Dave graduated from Southridge High School in Beaverton, Oregon.  Dave has a high interested in computers and has worked for the Intel Corporation doing Quality Assurance in the Smart Toy Labs and Internet Imaging Services groups.

What kind of PDA does Dave have?
Currently I use a iPAQ 3640 (which is the same as the 3635).  I also have a PC Card jacket for it as well as network cards and modems that are compatible.  I also have a Philips Nino 500 and a VTech Helio for Linux.

How much does this site cost you?
I am very lucky to have a generous sponsors that pay for the general server costs.  Originally, when I moved this site to be banner free, it cost around a $100 a year.  I began exceeding traffic limits (which I am happy about, don't stop coming here) so I needed to migrate servers.

Do you get a lot of free stuff?
I have received some products in the past for reviews, but getting hardware products is extremely difficult.  Usually reviewers don't get to keep hardware they test (like the CerfCube and CerfPod I reviewed), but I am still happy to get them for a little while!

Do you make money from this site?
As should be obvious this site has no banner ads.  I will never but full banner ads all over the site since this is a hobbyist site and should look that way.  I do earn some money from the links via the NexTag price checking system.  I feel that price checking services like NexTag are beneficial to consumers (I often use them for finding prices and information) and NexTag links only augment the site, not detract from the content.  I am happy to say that all proceeds from links will go right back into this site.  All the money I make, I spend on PDA relegated gear so I can better support the visitors of this site and will also be using it for giveaways and more.

Can I help be a part of davespda.com?
Sure!  Anyone that wants to report news, post reviews, software, or anything else, just email dave@davespda.com.  Articles on your thoughts are the best place to start.  Since I am not a Pocket PC or Palm affiliated site, you can talk about either (positive or negative) and say anything you want.

Feel free to email me about your own PDA, questions, comments, articles, rumors, and reviews.  I can be reached at dave@davespda.com.
