Dell Axim X5 Drivers

PLEASE NOTE: Use of the drivers found here is not recommended by Dell nor is is supported by the staff of this website.  Use the drivers at your own risk.  We are not responsible for problems or malfunctions nor are we responsible if Dell choose to not support you in the future for not installing the drivers on the CD but the ones found here.

But, here are the three files (drivers) that should allow you to use the Axim with ActiveSync if you don't have the included Dell CD.  Many users have stated that installation of these drivers works with the download of ActiveSync 3.6 from the Microsoft website.

Dell Axim X5 Drivers
The above zip includes: wceusbsh.cat, wceusbsh.inf, wcheubsh.sys

Microsoft ActiveSync
Version 3.6 (Dell CD includes version 3.5)

Dell Axim D-Pad Patch
Patch provided by Dell that causes the center button of the D-pad to perform the Action function.
