Stylus Input Methods

If you decided that you want to go with a Stylus based device, there are two different ways of input you will see on the market. One way of input is a static graffiti pad. This input area is always there, even when the device is off. This often makes a better input area, but it will drastically reduce the screen size (especially if you want to input via a virtual digital keyboard).
The other way of input is a virtual graffiti pad. The virtual area often includes other ways of input like a virtual keyboard, T9 input, and/or full screen handwriting recognition. The virtual area only takes up space when you need it, and the rest of the time, it is hidden from view. Most Windows CE devices come with software that lets you write on the full screen, and then the device will figure out what you wrote.  A major plus to virtual graffiti (or input) is that you get to see more of your screen, more of the time.  When you have such a small screen anyways, you might as well be able to see all of it most of the time.
How you input is really based on how you want to input and what is easier.  Some people love graffiti and can write very fast in it, while others would rather be able to write full characters or use a virtual keyboard.

No more grayscale right....
