Finally
Smartphone is making its way to the USA. Everlink Wireless is
heading the move with their "red e" device. The device based on
the Compal reference design, and is now the primary device for US
Smartphone development. The device is based around a 132MHz ARM
based processor, 13MB for internal memory, and includes such features
as a 16-bit color screen and SD card slot. The phone is GSM/GPRS
based.
The device is currently only
available in the Microsoft Windows Powered Smartphone Developer Kit.
It is also important to note the device is pre-production. Below
are a couple quick pictures of the device, the kit, and a comparison
