A reference an picture of the HP iPAQ H6315 has
appeared on the US T-Mobile site. It is likely since the device in
the picture holds the T-Mobile brand, that the HP iPAQ H6315 Phone
Edition will be released on the T-Mobile network. The device
includes GSM/GPRS, WiFi and Bluetooth. No word on a release date or
price. Update: T-Mobile has pulled the page, so I have change
the links below to point to a copy I made.

More Virtual Keyboard
Problems
Thursday 06.24.04 at 9:58 AM PST
A long long time ago, it was released that there
would be a product which would draw a keyboard on your desktop with
a laser and you could use it to type on your PDA. A long time ago,
iBiz started taking preorders for the Virtual Keyboard. But
somewhere along the line, the products has been held up time and
time again, and at one point it was even realized nobody cleared the
device with the FCC. If you preordered or are interested in ordering
a Virtual Keyboard, you better read the following story.

Thursday 06.24.04 at 9:58 AM PST
The PDA Compare tool has been updated and many
devices have been removed including those from Handspring and many
old CLIE devices. Also new devices have been added. The PDA Compare
tool is one of the easiest ways to directly compare major device
specifications for a series of devices and help narrow down which
PDA will be right for you.

SanDisk SD WiFi for
Zire
Friday 06.18.04 at 12:11 PM PST
I really don't know what ever happened to the Palm
drivers for the SDIO WiFi Card. Based on what I received from them,
it seemed that would at least eventually appear. Zire 71 soon may
have a WiFi SDIO card from SanDisk, but a special modified version
due to power issues on the Zire. It is likely it would not be
compatible with other devices, and you still may not be able to use
the current SD WiFi card with a PalmSource based device. (But the
SDIO WiFi card with 256MB just appeared my in mailbox. Complete
review on the way.)

dominated by bigger players. Audiovox also signed a five-year
royalty-free licensing agreement permitting UTStarcom to use the
Audiovox brand on certain products." Interesting turn for Audiovox
and for the Pocket PC Phone Edition market with the recent release
by Audiovox.

device...just write your code and project file and then build it

Apple Rumors Smashed
Again
Tuesday 06.08.04 at 9:27 AM PST
While Steve Jobs did state that Apple had designed a
PDA in the past but never went to market with it, he again said that
Apple would not be releasing a Smartphone or PDA device. This
doesn't mean that someone like Sony would not release a device of
"iPod style" right?

Site: Hardware
Section Revisions
Friday 06.04.04 at 11:21 PM PST
Some of you may have noticed, the Hardware section is
taking on a slightly new look. The Flash is getting the cut in the
place of separate pages for each devices. There are a lot of pros to
the new design. Also, each device has a little "bio" about it,
telling if it has a relation to other devices, what some of its main
features are, what makes it a possible purchase, and what kind of
user the device is best for. Also the Smartphone section is totally
updated...even with the Samsung i250. (Haven't heard of the i250,
check it out below.)

off guard. Check out the take of Bryan Lucas on why the CLIE failed.

Sony Leaves US PDA
Market
Tuesday 06.01.04 at 1:26 PM PST
Sony has officially announced that it will
discontinue its US CLIE product line. While Sony still plans to
produce CLIE devices in Japan, it will produce no new models for the
US. Sony will still produce mobile devices in the form of Sony
Ericsson cell phones and Playstation Portable gaming devices. The
announcement likely comes as a blow to PalmSource.
